Meet Dr. Locke

Charles Michael Locke, D.M.D., M.D., grew up in Cullomburg, Alabama, and attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile.  He received early acceptance into the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1993. After receiving his doctorate, he attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and earned his Doctorate in 1996. After graduating from medical school, he completed his internship in General Surgery and, subsequently, his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1999.

Dr. Locke began practicing in Tullahoma, TN, as an associate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for 18 months before opening his private practice in 2001.  He maintains hospital privileges at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt Harton Hospital. While maintaining his schedule at the office, he continues to share his love of dentistry and surgery as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Section of Surgical Sciences, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. 

Dr. Locke is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the Tennessee Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, where he serves as a member of the Anesthesia Committee doing in-office anesthesia evaluations. He maintains both Dental and Medical Licenses in the state of Tennessee.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys cattle, bailing hay, and working on his Rock Island, TN farm.
